Ben and Amy are broken up and, surprisingly, Amy and Adrian are becoming fast friends. Amy and Ben try to overcome mixed emotions by remaining friendly after their break-up. Adrian takes the time to really get to know Amy in an effort to win Ricky’s affections, and against the odds, the two begin building a friendship. George is hopeful that he and Anne can salvage their relationship, although he still questions whether he’s Robie’s father.

The heartfelt drama THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER focuses on the relationships between families and friends and how they deal with teenage issues, including an unexpected pregnancy. Created and executive-produced by Brenda Hampton, the series stars Shailene Woodley, Molly Ringwald, Mark Derwin, India Eisley, Ken Baumann, Daren Kagasoff, Francia Raisa, Megan Park and Greg Finley. Hi Francia! We last spoke with you in 2007. You’ve certainly come a long way in the two years since. What are some of your fondest memories from the last two years?
Wow. Yeah, a lot has happened in the last two years. Umm honestly everything that I’m experiencing is a memory in itself. Right now the greatest memories are the ones that I’m making with the show. It’s been doing great and I’m so grateful. And of course I just shot another Cutting Edge movie which will be out in March, and that was also such an amazing experience. I can’t even single out one, everything is just a rollercoaster. A good, amazing rollercoaster.

Burbank, CA (January 12, 2010) ABC Family’s two upcoming original movies will have spring premiere dates. “The Cutting Edge: Fire & Ice,” starring Francia Raisa (”The Secret Life of the American Teenager”) and Brendan Fehr, will premiere on Sunday, March 14 (8:00-10:00PM ET/PT).

In “The Cutting Edge: Fire & Ice,” Francia Raisa reprises her role as Alexandra “Alex” Delgado in film franchise, whose figure skating career came to an abrupt halt after her partner (on and off the ice) became injured. As their love affair cooled, a heart-broken Alex stopped competing and turned to teaching. Enter James Van Behr (Fehr), the smoldering bad boy of speed skating, who has had fiery Alex in his sights as a skating partner ever since he was banned from speed skating. There aren’t many girls who say no to James Alex may well be the first. However, James pushes her buttons, challenging her like no one else and her fighting spirit returns. She agrees to be his partner and they begin a grueling practice regimen fueled (and occasionally derailed) by their own tempestuous relationship which heats up as they get closer to competition. But will their passion destroy Alex’s chance to bring home the gold again?

“The Cutting Edge: Fire & Ice” marks the fourth installment of the successful franchise produced by MGM Television. The movie is directed by Stephen Herek and is written by Holly Brix. It is executive-produced by the MGM team of Craig Roessler, Sara Berrisford and Hudson Hickman.

ABC Family premiered the back half of THE SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER’s second season on Monday night to 4.5 million viewers. 2.12 million were adults between the ages of 18 to 49 and 3 million between 12 to 34. SECRET LIFE’s return is now cable’s No. 1 scripted premiere of the ‘09-’10 season in key demos.

In the premiere episode, “You Don’t Know What You’ve Got…” Amy and Anne decide to take their babies and escape their problems by going on vacation — and things back at home start to fall apart in their absence. George struggles to come to terms with the fact that Robie might not be his son. Ben’s Italian girlfriend pays him a visit and he‘s sick thinking about Amy’s reaction — he can’t decide if he wants to be with Amy or if he wants to be a normal teenager and date other girls. Grace and Jack hash out their relationship problems and Grace reveals that she kissed Jason, but only after Jack confesses to kissing Madison. Ashley begins to feel suffocated by Griffin’s friendship and Ricky realizes he has to take charge and demand that Amy return home with their son.
